Five Fall Workout Pieces Worth Buying from Zella by Nordstrom

Ok ladies, we all know you love your lululemon and so do I but it can get downright expensive right? Well, did you know that the Zella activewear line from Nordstrom was created by a designer that left lululemon? Yup, score.

I've been a fan of Zella for awhile now and have always loved their fit, styles and most of all reasonable prices. I recently stopped by Nordstrom to try on some items to let you know how they fit and look. Here are five items definitely worth buying from the current Zella line:

The Zella Glam Jacket comes in both solid colors ($98) and the amazing abstract dot print ($108) above on the right. (Yes that's me in the dressing room trying to convince myself that I don't need another cute jacket.) It has a sleek fit and the mesh grey paneling on the arms looks sporty yet fashion-forward. I love the thumbholes on the arm that allow for a longer length and the cute ruching on the wrist. This jacket is the perfect fall piece to wear to both the gym or out and about to run errands with a pair of jeans.

The Zella Python Seamless Tank ($32) is very comfortable- the fabric is extremely soft which I often find results in no support up top yet this bra was still fairly supportive. I love the strap detail on the back and the print was very pretty. The longer length is a huge plus because I hate shimmels that creep up and play belly button peek-a-boo while in yoga class. This is the perfect yoga and Pilates companion.

No matter what your size, the Zella Z T 3 ($32)  is a great workout top. It comes in both regular and plus sizes and the subtle ruching at the stomach area helps to hide any flaws. The material is soft, breathable and stretchy in all the right places. So, of course I had to come home with one of them!

These Zella Live In Reversible Capris ($48) are sheer genius! Yes, I said genius. With two kids under the age of four, I can't tell you how many workouts I've shown up for with some sort of cracker smeared onto my bottoms. With these, I simply flip them inside out and I'm on my way actually looking somewhat decent for once! And, even better, the fit on these are SO flattering - the fabric lifts your bum a bit, hides any imperfections and the waistband holds your tummy in nicely. They come in both the above charcoal grey and black ($44) color. A must-have for any fit momma!

The Zella Booty Reversible Pant ($62) are reversible like the capris- which as you read above is a great bonus. The wide waistband on these hit perfectly so as to avoid the dreaded muffin top look and they definitely live up to their booty name by making your bottom look great. They are fitted through the hips and thighs and then flare a bit for a very slimming look. They are sized using the traditional women's sizes (2, 4, 6, etc. which I found to fit pretty true to size) which allows for a better fit and are also available in both regular and long length as well as in a plus size. You will love these pants!

Two Ways: Workout to Daytime Wear

Another workout piece that can crossover into daytime wear is this Moving Comfort Urban Gym Tee that I just purchased. It fits true to size, has a relaxed fit and comes in a dolman-type style cut. The striped pattern along with the ruching at the shoulders and the side-tie give it a more stylish look so it can easily be incorporated into an everyday look. What I love even more is the fact that the fabric not only wicks moisture during a workout but is made from (believe it or not!) recycled coffee grounds. (This fabric also prevents odors from building up as well!)

This above pic of the cute side-tie is a better representation of the actual color. The below pics from my iPhone didn't seem to capture the true color, sorry about that!

Off to Pilates class!                                                         Casual dinner date with the hubby!
It's pretty warm still where I live so I opted for a denim mini for my daytime outfit but it would look great with a pair of grey crop denim jeans when the weather cools a bit. Off my hubby and I went for a quick sushi date night without the kiddos. Yum!
