Two Ways: Workout to Daytime Wear

I'm always looking for ways to get more out of my wardrobe and because I spend so much time in workout clothes I'm always looking for pieces that can cross over into daytime wear as well. This is the first of I hope many posts on two ways to wear workout gear that will hopefully save you some money and perhaps inspire some new looks in your wardrobe!

I couldn't resist these cute coral Nike Free Spotted Sneakers sold exclusively through ASOS. As you have seen, neon is back in-style and footwear is a fun way to incorporate it without being too loud. I don't mind a bit of flash on my feet and the polka dots had me sold. I knew I could also incorporate these comfy kicks (they feel like slippers!) into both my workout wear and my everyday wear for a casual look.

Workout Outfit:
Top: Nike S/S Dip Dye Burnout Tee (tank top version too)
Bottoms: Nike Tech Capri Running Tights
Shoes: Nike Exclusive Free Running Spotted Sneakers (available in light blue too)

I wore this very casual outfit on a busy day with my two girls where I knew I would be on my feet all day running around. Best of all, the top I'm wearing can also be used as a workout top as it's from the GapFit line so it is made of a breathable fabric but yet it is soft and comfortable.

Daytime Outfit:

Top: GapFit Breathe V-Neck T

Shorts: Joe's Jeans Denim Shorts Marisella Wash

Shoes: same as above

Five Fancy Fitness Totes

Time for another popular Five Fancy Fitness Totes post! I've been finding some pretty cool fitness totes to tempt me and here are my five favorites:

I'm a sucker for polka dots so I love the subtle silver polka dot print on this m. Andonia yoga bag ($207). Comes with a sunglass and water bottle holder, and best of all it is made in the U.S!

I love the violet pop of color on this pretty NikeVarsity medium duffle ($45). Comes with a separate compartment for your shoes or post-workout sweaty clothes. The perfect gym companion!

This roomy Crescent Moon Metro Linen Mat Bag ($99.99) has a luxurious quilted satin lining and handbag style handles for a fresh, modern look.

This sleek black Nike C72 Legend L bag (on sale $67.99) also has a separate compartment for shoes or sweaty clothes. But, I love that this bag could double as a cute weekend bag with its fun but sophisticated print on the handles.

This pretty Zella Reversible Tote ($74) is not only versatile in that you can change from the subtle black zigzag quilt fabric to a pretty print (shown left). But, it can also double as a workout tote or a great weekender bag for a getaway.

I'm Back!

Sorry for the lack of posts lately but things have been extremely busy (but also exciting) in our lives. I'll share one now but the other will have to wait until it is ready to be revealed, sorry. :)

My husband ran for our local City Council and he not only won, but was elected Mayor starting in 2014! I've already been called Mrs. Mayor, first lady etc., haha, not quite but I'm so proud of him. Here are some pics from that amazing night and our little post election family getaway to the lovely Claremont Hotel in Berkeley.
All dolled up and ready for election results!
Post-election smiles!

The beautiful Claremont Hotel in Berkeley. Where we swam, relaxed & caught up with old friends!
The best kids dessert ever, a huge pile of cotton candy at the Paragon Restaurant.
Can you tell that my oldest was enjoying it?
